ALAN & INDA WILLIAMS
SMALL CHANCE OF SURVIVAL. 100% CHANCE OF A NEW LIFE.
"I grew up in a small town with an amazing family and a big love for football. I learned very early to work hard, to pursue my dreams with passion, and never to allow obstacles to inform my thinking or deter my direction. Tenacity...Toughness...These defined me.... I developed a personal mantra to "find a way where there is no way” whatever the cost. No matter the pain, or collateral damage." This took me a long way...
My passion, tenacity, and dedication landed me a football scholarship, a place as starting lineman my sophomore year on the University of Texas football team, the privilege of being one of the youngest commercial loan Vice Presidents in Austin and later, the youngest of 70 partners in one of the largest privately owned commercial insurance brokerage firms in the US. I was thrilled with these achievements.

I was thrilled with these achievements.
"But at the age of thirty seven, I came face to face with a challenge I couldn't win with muscle and determination..."
After an intense round of tests revealed that my heart was at 98% blockage, I had heart surgery and realized that God had saved me from death.
The next few years also proved to be difficult: A change of careers, financial decline, and finally - the big C word - CANCER knocked on my door....I was given a 26% chance of survival and endured the following lengthy twenty-two months of surgeries, rehab and chemo. I spent a lot of time in deep self-reflection. I was searching for answers. And then... .
God. God showed up and revealed Himself through the love of others. I was cleared of cancer and was happy to resume my life.
But, within a matter of five years, I was diagnosed again with CANCER.

But, within a matter of five years, I was diagnosed again with CANCER.
"The doctor told me that I had only a 4% chance of survival."
At this time, I found many things I didn't expect: prayer……hope……love……others...and a much deeper relationship with God. At my next checkup at MD Anderson, I was blessed with a restage back to Stage 3C and a 26% survival rate.
"However, at my next two checkups at MD Anderson... I heard two beautiful words: CANCER FREE."
God really can work all things together for good for those who love Him…and receive His love…and reveal His love to others. There is an eternal HOPE that is an anchor for our souls! So much so that when I was given the news that cancer had returned yet again, I have found that I can live life abundantly, with joy and passion, while experiencing cancer. God is that good!
